STUDENT POLICY
These courses are designed for licensed massage therapists who have completed basic
training and have particular interest in using massage and bodywork therapy for
pain reduction. Participants should be prepared to learn physiological principles
and specific anatomy of muscles and must be able to apply moderate pressure during
treatment. A Certificate of Completion is available to all students who actively
participate in the workshop and who successfully complete the full workshop. This
certification will be presented when the workshop has been completed.
Learning activities are designed to support a variety of learning styles and capabilities
and will include lectures with visual aids, discussions, questions and answers,
demonstrations, and hands-on supervised practice. All reasonable efforts will be
made to accommodate participants with learning difficulties and physical disabilities.
If you have a disability or special needs that may affect your participation in
class, it would be advantageous for us to know this in advance so that we may be
better able to assist you. All workshops are available to qualified students regardless
of race, religion, sex, age, and national origin.
Stewart Walker is the sole developer of curriculum, and is responsible for all aspects
of delivery of these educational offerings. The content of these courses was developed
to effectively convey the knowledge and skills necessary for participants to become
better able to reduce their patients’ muscular-skeletal pain. This content is subject
to ongoing improvement from participant evaluations, research, and peer review.
